Courtney Rains-Loo performed the role of Rumpelteazer in the Broadway musical CATS for 3 years. Due to her petite size, she also went on to Hollywood and became the stunt double and stand-in for many child stars including Macaulay Culkin. She has been set on fire in movies and has even gone through windows! A member of the Screen Actors Guild, she has screen credit on many television shows and films including those with Robin Williams. She recently appeared on Law and Order SVU and is currently appearing in the movie “August Rush.” Although she is very thankful for her experiences, nothing compares to her relationship with Jesus Christ. She became a Christian while doing movies and was able to see the difference between a life with Jesus and the lure and illusion of Hollywood. She can speak from first hand experience that no amount of money and fame can provide the lasting love, forgiveness and peace that comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ. He is first in her life and one of her favorite verses is John 15:5 “Apart from me you can do nothing.” Courtney searched for over four years for like-minded ladies to form Heart of Joy. A Philadelphia native, Courtney met her husband, Jeff Loo, while in Los Angeles. They just celebrated 12 years of marriage thanks to God. Courtney and Jeff attend Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia.
